Getting our daily dose of hydration is an important as breathing especially during the hot sunny days. When our bodies sweat excessively, we need to make sure we have ample water intake. However getting into the ritual of drinking water is not for everyone. The easiest way to make plain water taste better and convince ourselves to drink more of it is to infuse it with fruits, veggies and herbs. Here are some of the drinks you can have to make sure your skin is also well hydrated.

Lemon Cucumber Herb

You Will Need

½ Cucumber

1 lemon

2 Sprigs Rosemary

1 handful Thyme

1 handful Mint


Wash and thinly slice ½ cucumber and 1 lemon.

Fill a pitcher with water. Add lemon slices, cucumber slices and herbs

Refrigerate for 1 hour before serving

Strawberry Mint

You Will Need

8-10 Large Strawberries, cut into halves or quarters, depending on your preferences and the size of the strawberries.


Fill the bottom of a pitcher with the ice cubes. Top with strawberries and mint leaves. Fill the rest of the way with filtered water.

Place the pitcher I the refrigerator for at least an hour for the flavor to infuse.

Blood Orange & Basil

You Will Need

1 Pure Dark orange, sliced

1 Lemon, Sliced

2-3 sprigs of fresh basil


Wash and slice the orange and lemon

Place fruits and herbs in the bottom of a pitcher

Use a long wooden spoon to mash the fruits gently just enough to get the jices  ready to medle  with the water

Fill the pitcher with ice and water. Drink up!

Watermelon Rosemary Lime

You Will Need

1/16 oz. Canning jar or two 8 oz. Canning jars

½ cup of fresh Watermelon cut into chunks

½ a medium Lime cut into slices

1-2 Sprigs of Fresh Rosemary, cut into 1-2 inch pieces


Add the watermelon chunks, lime slices and fresh rosemary to your jar. Next use a spoon or a fork to mash them up enough to let the juices out.

Then fill the jar with the water, place the cover on and refrigerate overnight for the best flavor.


Blueberry Lavender

You Will Need

½ pint Blueberries

Edible Flowers [use Lavender Flowers]

64 ounces Water


Add fruits and edible flowers to a pitcher of water

Cover and chill for at least 30 minutes

Strain then add ice and pour into tall glasses and serve


Champagne Mango-Lime Agua Fresca

You Will Need

4 cups filtered water

2 cup Mango pieces, peeled

2 tablespoons Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice

2 tablespoons Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice

3-4 tablespoons Turbinado Sugar [granulated sugar, can be substituted]

Garnish: Lime Slices


Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until liquefied. Serve over lots of ice and garnish with a slice of lime.

Grapefruit Rosemary

You Will Need

1 Grapefruit

1 Sprig of Fresh Rosemary

3 cups of water [depends on how many serve]


Cut the rind away from the grapefruit and cut the fruit into slices.

Fill the ball jar or infuser bottle with water, the lower the fruit into the water [instead of pouring the water over the fruit]

Use half of the grapefruit and half of the rosemary per container.

Infuse for 2 hours at room temperature and up to 24 hours in your refrigerator
